Slideshow music and sounds
The photo slideshow can play period music, a few background sounds and a short narration for each photo. All of it is free to share: it is public domain or under a Creative Commons licence that asks for this credit. Thank you to every musician and recordist below.

Changes: All music was trimmed to a 55–95 second section, made into a seamless loop (2–4 s internal crossfade), loudness-matched (music −20 LUFS, ambience −22 LUFS) and encoded as MP3 (music 128 kbps stereo, ambience 96 kbps mono) with ffmpeg. Those are the only changes. The army bed puts the bugle call before the march.
Narration voice
For now the narration is a computer voice, made offline with the open-source Piper text-to-speech engine. We hope to replace it with family voices.
